I really believe that Sukuna’s “incomplete domain” was supposed to be the first form of the Merger, but at the last second Gege decided otherwise (cause it’d have meant that the manga would have been much longer and he wanted to finish ot quickly) , but i’m pretty sure that was the Merger !! One other thing that makes me really believe this idea is, why Gege redraw the incomplete domain in the volume and made it darker and black and with no hand like before…
